Notice to Community on Temporary Emergency Department Entrance at McLeod Dillon
Effective August 16th, patients arriving for emergency services will not be able to access the parking lot via the 301 entrance. Due to the movement of the construction fence, all traffic entering Parking Lot A will need to enter from Jackson Street, the only entry to this parking lot until further notice.

The Latta High Marching Band enclosed trailer has been stolen, according to Lt. Crystal Moore of the Latta Police Department.

Topping Out Of McLeod ER Celebrated
The steel frame for the McLeod Dillon Emergency Department (ED) has reached the top. To celebrate this milestone, a Topping Out Celebration was held at McLeod Dillon on July 20, 2010. During the event, a steel beam signed by employees, Medical Staff members, Volunteers, and Community Advisory Board members was placed in the frame.

A man was found laying by his car in a yard on Blackwell Avenue in Little Rock on July 24th, according to a report by Sgt. Dewitt Coleman of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Unemployment Rate In County Increases
Dillon County’s unemployment rate increased slightly during the month of June to 15 percent, a 0.1 percent increase from the previous month.
