Gatlin Johnson of Latta, SC, was recently awarded a $2,500 WoodmenLife Focus Forward Scholarship®. Johnson, a WoodmenLife member, submitted an application highlighting his high school academics, activities, and volunteerism, as well as an essay on patriotism.
Congratulations to the Latta High School Academic Challenge Team for their outstanding performance at Francis Marion University as they competed in the Academic Challenge Regional Tournament this past Saturday, March 11, 2023. After a day filled with academic excitement, the Latta High School Academic Challenge Team, coached by April Dailey, was announced the Division II Regional Champs! On Saturday, the team competed in five round robin matches, going up against various schools throughout the region.

Dillon School District Four will conduct kindergarten registration for all students who will be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2023 or five-years-old on or before September 1, 2023.
The Dillon Middle School Student Council, under the direction of Dr. Walter Jackson, presented the Pruitt-Health residents with an Easter basket of gifts that included 2 pairs of socks and footies for each resident.
The Dillon Middle School Chorus under the direction of Mr. Joshua Fleetwood participated in the South Carolina Music Association Performance Assessment and earned a Superior Rating.
Northeastern Technical College (NETC) has been awarded $4.9 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Strengthening Community College Training Grant program.
