Alpha Alpha Chapter of Dillon, SC in conjunction with the South Carolina State Council of Alpha Ph Chi National Sorority, Inc. sponsored a Torchlighters’ Talent-A-Rama.
There was a wonderful turnout February 21st at the meeting when interested people from Dillon, Latta, Lake View, Hamer, and Little Rock—as well as Rowland and Maxton, NC—met to discuss forming an Arts Guild in this area.
The City of Dillon is in the early stages of planning a Saint Patrick’s Day event.
Several awards were presented at the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce annual banquet on Thursday, February 1st.
The Dillon County Theatre has been awarded a $1750 operating support for small organizations grant by the South Carolina Arts Commission for the 2018 fiscal year
The annual Latta Pig Picking was held on Friday night at the Latta Community Center/Academy Street Park area. Hundreds came through the line to get plates of barbecue, chicken bog, collards, slaw, and bread.
The City of Dillon, City of Dillon Parks and Recreation Department, and the Humane Society of Dillon County held their Fourth Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 18 on the grounds of the Dillon Wellness Center.
The City of Dillon held its first annual tree lighting on Saturday, December 2nd.
