Full-time Town of Lake View employees got a pleasant surprise recently.
The Lake View Town Council agreed to give every full-time employee a stipend to help cover their health insurance costs. The employees soon discovered that this stipend, however, was not quite enough to cover their health insurance costs as the insurance was more than the stipend.
That’s when Mayor Sterling Lee stepped in. Mayor Lee decided to forgo his annual salary so that these funds could be used to help supplement the premiums for the employees.
The employees certainly are appreciative of this kind gesture
