The City of Dillon and SC Works held a job fair on Wednesday, October 4th, that brought employers and job seekers together.
The event was held at the new City of Dillon Downtown Development Office, 106 South Railroad Avenue, Dillon.
Veterans were given priority and were the only ones allowed into the job fair from 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. From 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., the general public visited the job fair. There were 100 total job seekers of which 8 were veterans and 92 were civilians. There were 9 employers and service support present including Harbor Freight, the City of Dillon, Pruitt Health, SC Works, South Of The Border, Buc-ee’s, CareSouth Carolina, TLC Home Care Services, and McLeod Health.
