The Dillon Middle School Chorus under the direction of Mr. Joshua Fleetwood participated in the South Carolina Music Association Performance Assessment and earned a Superior Rating.
This is an annual festival that hosts choirs from all around the state.
Each choir is judged based upon intonation, presentation, style, rhythmic accuracy, and diction.
The possible ratings from lowest to highest are fair, good, excellent and Superior.
This is the first time in decades that a choral group from Dillon County has participated in the State Choral Festival.
The Chorus students at Dillon Middle School worked extremely hard and even came out on a teacher’s workday to rehearse songs for three hours. We commend these 27 students for their great achievement
