Latta Rescue Squad members were recognized for their service during EMS Week recently.
Thanks to sponsors, Latta Rescue members were treated to a good meal and desserts.
Mayor Nancy Brigman and Dillon County Council Chairman T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea, Jr., were in attendance as guests to recognize all that the Latta Rescue Squad does for the community.
Several members were recognized for their many years of service. Among those recognized were: 30 years—Robbie McDaniel, 20 years— Terry Weichel, 10 years—Gabriel Francisco, 10 years—Chip Rogers, 5 years—Jamie Gaddy, and 5 years—Beth McDaniel. After the presentation of awards, each person in attendance had the opportunity to share their thoughts about the importance of the Latta Rescue Squad to the community and the sacrifice of the volunteers.
It was a wonderful recognition of the Latta Rescue Squad and their dedication and commitment to the people they serve.
