Pee Dee Academy junior varsity basketball team returned home on Wednesday, February 15, with a 40-29 win over Dillon Christian School in Dillon.
Pee Dee held a 11-3 lead after the first quarter of play and by halftime were up 20-6. After 3 quarters, Pee Dee’s lead had been cut to 11 points, 29-18.
Pee Dee committed 6 fouls in the first half and 7 fouls in the second half. Dillon committed 8 fouls in the first half and 6 fouls in the second half.
Pee Dee’s Colby Richardson had 14 points in the game six 2-point baskets and 2 free throws. Hayden Spivey added 9 points with three 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket. Jamison Rogers had two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 6 points while Bennett Causey added a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. Tristan Heckman connected for a 3-point basket, and Owen Turner had a 2-point basket. Miles Trussell sank a free throw.
Dillon Christian School’s Ford Richardson had 14 points to lead the Warriors. He had three 3-point baskets, two 2-point baskets, and a free throw. Sean Locklear added 11 points to the scoreboard with four two-point baskets and a 3-point basket. Anthony Wilkes and Joseph Waltman each sank a 2-point basket while Reese Bracey and Avery Sherman each sank a free throw.
