The Dillon Christian School Warriors defeated the visiting Conway Christian Eagles 51-30 in Dillon on Friday, January 28.
The Warriors led the Eagles 7-5 after the first quarter of play. Dillon was up 16 points, 27-11, at halftime. Dillon had a commanding 30-point, 45-15, lead after 3 quarters of play.
Dillon’s Ford Richardson lead all scorers with 31 points. He had seven 2-point baskets, five 3-point baskets, and 2 free throws. Sean Locklear added 6 points on a 2-point basket, a 3-point basket, and a free throw while Joseph Waltman also scored 6 points on two 3-point baskets. Avery Sherman connected for two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Anthony Wilkes and Landon Wallace each scored a 2-point basket.
Conway’s Cole Von Cannor scored 11 points on three 2-point baskets and 5 free throws. Autry Cooke connected for 7 points on a 2-point basket and 5 free throws. Billy Kauffman scored 5 points on a 2-point basket and 3 free throws. Carson Bailey sank a 2-point shot while Jacob Scialabba sank a free throw.
Conway committed 24 fouls, and Dillon Christian committed 23 fouls in the game.
