First Baptist Church of Dillon had a great Vacation Bible School this summer at Destination Dig®!
Over 100 kids came to VBS and learned about real-life archaeological finds that prove biblical events were not just stories, but provide exciting evidence that the Bible is true! During Bible study, the kids set out to SEEK TRUTH and FIND JESUS, as they studied tangible pieces of history that uncover the truth about Jesus and why He came.
Each night, the kids made crafts, had a blast with fun games and songs, and enjoyed tasty snacks as they explored how to be on mission for Jesus. Along the way, the kids discovered the truth of Jeremiah 29:13, that God reveals Himself to us when we seek and search for Him with all our hearts.
And the revelation is God sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sin, and if we trust in Him, He will forgive us and give us eternal life!
The week of fun at FBC Dillon came to a close with Family Night where we enjoyed supper, bouncy houses, ice cream, and more. During the closing worship rally, the kids shared what they learned during Destination Dig® and we celebrated two kids who decided to put their trust in Jesus!
Now, we are looking forward to AWANA kicking off this fall and would love for any kids 3k-6th grade to join us on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Go to www.fbcdillon.com to register and please come to First Baptist Church of Dillon (400 N 1st Avenue, near McDonalds) starting on Wednesday, September 8th at 6 p.m. m for our AWANA Bash!
