Jefferson Davis McMahan took the next step in his football/education career as he signed with Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., on Wednesday, April 21, at the Dillon High School gym.
McMahan, a product of 4 years of Dillon High School football where Coach Chris Ray influenced him, should receive playing time on the defensive line at Methodist University.
Although McMahan received other offers, he decided on Methodist University as it is close to home.
McMahan will carry his work ethic with him, both on and off the field. While receiving his education in Health Physical Fitness, he will also play the sport he loves…football.
He will also carry the winning tradition of the Dillon High School football team with him. He has enjoyed the trips to the state championship games.
When not studying or practicing or playing football, MaMahan enjoys Gaming as his hobby.
The coaching staff of Dillon thanked him for his contribution to the Dillon football program and also thanked his parents for allowing the football program at Dillon High School the opportunity to work with their son.
They wished McMahan the best at Methodist University and offered any assistance that he may need.
McMahan parents, Rick and Katrina McMahan are very proud of their son and expect only good things from him in the future.
