Funeral services for Joseph Hood was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home with burial in East Marlboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Joseph Warren Hood, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence.
Born on May 19, 1945 in Marlboro County, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Hood. He was a member of East Marlboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Emily Hood; children, Diane Roberts, Pam Mayo (Jimmy); grandchildren, Joseph Hood (Christie), Candance Townsend (Mark), Heather Roberts (Gabriel); great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Emily, and Thomas Cox, Brayden and Makenlea Sagredo; siblings, Janice Smith and Bobby Hood.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Rocky Eric Roberts; son-in-law, Rocky Lee Roberts; brothers, Eugene, Randy, Vernon, and Ben Hood.
