An man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday, June 1st, according to Master Trooper Brian Lee of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at about 9:25 p.m. The collision occurred at Highway 57 near the river access.
Lee said an ATV 4-wheeler attempted to cross Highway 57 and was struck by a 2002 Chevy sport utility. The driver of the Chevy was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the ATV was transported to a local hospital. The passenger of the ATV is deceased. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Teddy Yarborough, a 42-year-old white male. Grimsley said he died of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
The collision remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
