A one-vehicle collision on Gaddy’s Mill Road resulted in one fatality on Saturday, May 16, according to Corporal Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley had not released the identity of the deceased by press time on Monday.
The collision occurred at about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, said Collins.
A 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling on Gaddy’s Mill Road. The vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed as a result of the crash, Collins said.
The driver and another passenger were transported to a local hospital.
The wreck is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
