The Dillon County Council declared a state of emergency at an emergency meeting held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
This is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dillon County Disaster Preparedness Director shared information with the council about COVID-19 and preparations that were underway.
It was announced on Saturday that Dillon County had its first case of the coronavirus.
