Henry David Woodard, 89, died peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 in the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, October 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Allen Woodard and Maggie Pearl Berry Woodard. He was the widower of the late Betty Mae Woodard. He loved fishing, gardening and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed working with wood and was known for his skills in building things like picnic tables, dining tables, end tables and coffee tables. He attended Dillon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Betty Lou Kidd (Gene) of Dillon; sons, Franklin Woodard (Faye) of Dillon and Allen Woodard of Augusta, GA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above;a son, Ray Woodard;brothers, David Woodard, Hamp Woodard, Burnis Woodard and Lacy Woodard; and by an infant sister, Betty Lou Woodard.
