Thursday, May 30, 2019 was truly an evening of food, music, and art at Twin Lakes Country Club.
Approximately 200-250 people attended the Paws for the Arts event.

They enjoyed music by Terry Powers while viewing the art exhibit and bidding on numerous silent auction items.
The art exhibit included original paintings, drawings, wood carvings, photographs, and pottery created by talented artists from both North and South Carolina: M.M. Anderson, Christi Arnette, Lorene Arnette, Donna Borders, Kay Bradsher, James Burns, Jane Calhoun, Paul Calhoun Jim Dove, Becky Elvington, Benton Henry, Nancy Winora Johnson, Dawson Jordan, Lawrence Jordan, Mary McDaniel, Sandra McKellar, Allison McLaurin, Betsy Odin, Wendy Reaves, Rufus Rowland, Nancy Sanders, Patty Speights, Jane Truax Schmitt, Caroline Steele, Briana Taylor, and Jane Wheeler. Many of the art pieces were for sale. The proceeds from the ticket sales and the silent auction went to the Humane Society of Dillon. The top bidders for the silent auction took home some fine items.

Based on the initial success of our first endeavor, Paws for the Arts will become an annual event.
