DILLON – Joyce Annelle Turbeville Covington, 73, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Pruitt Health of Dillon. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.at Main Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Paul Sapp, Reverend Michael Sapp, and Reverend Henry Altman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Asbury Hall. A private interment in Greenlawn Cemetery will be held later. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Annelle was born January 23, 1946 in Dillon, SC she was the wife of the late Luke Covington and the daughter of the late Jesse and Nellie Sue Turbeville and step-daughter of the late Mary B. Turbeville, and daughter-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benny Covington. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and George Taylor Sunday School Class. Annelle retired from a secretary at Dillon School District Two.
She is survived by her son, Don Covington (Stephanie) of Dillon; daughter, Suzie Goodwin (Stanley) of Darlington; sister, Kitty Baxley of Dillon; grandchildren, Michael, Shayna, Drew, Annsley, Aubrey, and Ashton; in-laws, Whitey Covington (Pam), Rick Covington, Vickie Hyatt (Glenn); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annelle was preceded in death by her husband, Luke and her brother, Buddy Turbeville.
