Tally McColl and Corey Jackson will face off on Tuesday, April 16, in a run-off election for the Dillon mayor’s position.
Mayor Todd Davis announced earlier this year that he would not be seeking re-election. On Tuesday, April 2nd, McColl and Jackson were the frontrunners in the mayor’s race.
The unofficial results of the mayor’s race were Tally McColl-557, Corey Jackson-420, and Kenneth L. “Kenny” Smith-317.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 for the run-off.
According to a public notice placed by the City of Dillon, “The polling places for this election are the Dillon County Fire Department (Howard Street), East Elementary School (901 E. Harrison St), and the W.B. Carmichael Fire Station (209 S. 8th Ave). The Manning Precinct has been pooled with the South Precinct. They will vote at the W.B. Carmichael Fire Station (209 S. 8th Ave).”
