The Latta Lady Vikings came from behind to edge the Johnsonville Lady Flashes 6-5 in 8 innings in a game played in Johnsonville on Friday, March 22, after having lost to Johnsonville 6-4 on Tuesday, March 19, in Latta.
Latta connected for 7 hits, and Johnsonville connected for 6 hits. Johnsonville took the lead in the bottom of the first inning when Kirby Blakely grounded out, scoring a run.
The Lady Vikings’ Allison Carter doubled to score Rayne Nolan from second to break a 5-5 tie in the top of the eighth inning.
In the fifth inning, Jayla Jackson doubled to score Jena Stutler from second to knot the game at 5.
