The City of Dillon Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation in conjunction with SLED involving an incident concerning a 5-month-old baby at Generations Daycare, according to Dillon Police Chief David Lane.
Judy W. Cox was charged in connection with the incident at the daycare, according to Lane.

The City of Dillon Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation in conjunction with SLED involving an incident on February 12th concerning a 5-month-old baby at Generations Daycare, according to Dillon Police Chief David Lane.
Judy Wallace Cox was charged in connection with the incident at the daycare, according to Lane. The initial charge was Abuse/Parent, guardian, other allowing another person to inflict great bodily harm upon a child.
The warrant states that “on February 12, 2019, in the city of Dillon, one Judy Wallace Cox did commit the crime of Abuse/Parent, guardian, other allowing another person to inflict great bodily harm upon a child in that she did inflict great bodily injury or harm upon a child by shaking the five-month-old child…in such a manner that it caused severe damage to the brain area and severe trauma to the eye area.”
This child has since passed away, according to Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
Prior to the child’s passing, a $40,000 bond was set on Cox.
The daycare is currently closed. A sign on the front door of the daycare says it is closed until further notice.
