A fire occurred at 801 East Main Street, Dillon, on Saturday, according to City of Dillon Fire Chief Keith Bailey.
City firemen got dispatched at 4:33 p.m. When they arrived on scene, they had heavy black smoke coming out of the top of the residence on all four sides of the residence and heavy fire showing at the back of the residence. The American Red Cross came to the scene and assisted the families that lived at the residence. This house was an apartment. No one was injured due to the fire, Bailey said.
