A personal recognizance bond was set this week on Phillip Turner, the Dillon man charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of a Dillon woman that resulted from her riding on the hood of Turner’s car.
Turner was deemed by the court to be neither a flight risk nor a danger to the community. His court date has not yet been set. The victim’s family was notified of the hearing but did not appear.
“We are reviewing all of the evidence collected by law enforcement,” said Assistant Solicitor Shipp Daniel. “Since it’s a pending case, we will not have any further comment until the case is resolved.”
