Christmas In Latta was an outstanding event on Friday night. The Veterans Park in Latta, the Vidalia School, the old Latta Post Office, the Dillon County Museum, and the Edwards House were all festively decorated for the occasion.
There was music, the lighting of the Veterans Tree, and Santa Claus among the offerings. There were also various vendors, and barbecue on sale from the Latta BBQ Cookoff. Children wrote letters to Santa in the old Vidalia school and then went and had the stamped and mailed in a special mailbox at the old Latta Post Office. It was a great event for the community.
