Mrs. Kathleen Cox McKenzie died Sunday, September 29, 2018 at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon after an illness.
A funeral service will be Thursday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday, October 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKenzie was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Ed and Euthia Miller Cox.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View and was employed by Selma Hosiery for many years.
She is survived by her son, Carl Ray Gardner; daughter, Beverly Rieney; grandchildren, Carl Ray Gardner, Jr, Amber Gardner, and Donna Voth (Bobby); and great grandchildren, Brett Voth, Bryson Voth and Brody Voth.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Gardner and Mr. Bill McKenzie; and siblings, Edna Clark, Frostie Cox, Coleen Miller, Douglas Cox, Rudolph Cox and Roscoe Cox.
