Superintendent Ray Rogers gave an update on construction at the Dillon District Four Board of Trustees meeting on Monday night.
The parking lots have been repaved at Dillon High School including the student parking lot and new teacher parking lot.
There are all-new doors installed at Dillon High School. The other doors were almost 50 years old. About 60+ doors were replaced. They are still working on the roof and hopefully will be through in the next two to three weeks.
The digital sign is up and operational in Lake View.
The road to the Lake View Elementary School is being addressed. The holdup is an issue with drainage. The traffic was backed up to Highway 9 on the first day, according to board member Kenny Bethea. No one was allowed to park and walk in, but there was staff to make sure students got in safely. This was done for both traffic and security issues.
Assistant Superintendent Polly Elkins said they were also dealing with some issues trying to get the air conditioner back up after summer.
