FLORENCE – Emily Manship Bullard, 98, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House of the Pee Dee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC. Rev. Mike Summerlin will be officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Bullard was born in Rockingham, NC, November 22, 1919, the daughter of Fred and Mary Brewer Manship. Emily enjoyed playing the piano and harmonica. She enjoyed talking with her friends. Emily loved granddogs, Nipsy and Skipper. Emily was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church for over sixty years. She was also a member of the Marvin Rast Sunday School Class. Emily was the widow of Malcolm Bullard, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Malcolm B. Bullard, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach; daughters, Gale Galliher and Debbie Bullard both of Florence, SC; sister-in-law, Katie Witmore of Laurinburg, NC; grandchildren, Connie, Gary, David, Denise, Jamey, and Brian; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Heritage Home of Florence, Warley Hall staff and residents. Mrs. Emily loved every staff member and resident and was loved by them dearly.
