On Tuesday, June 18, the Seniors of Kemper Church had their monthly meeting. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal. Following the meal, Rev. Adrienne H. Anderson had a short devotion on The Power and Necessity of Prayer. At the close of the devotion, the Fork Hillbillies were introduced.
Sandra Perritte sang and played the guitar. Bobby Perritte was the lead singer, and he played the banjo. James David Lane sang and played the guitar, and L.R. Perritte sang and played the bass. Their repertoire of music was “Man of Constant Sorrow,’ “Victory in Jesus: Power in the Blood,” “I’ll Fly Away,” and “When We All Get To Heaven.”
During the last two songs, we had the surprise appearance of the Liberty Hooks and Hailey Smith performing their special dance steps. This was a treat that everyone enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed this time of fellowship.
