Incumbent Stevie Grice won the Democratic Primary Run-off for Dillon County Council District Seven on Tuesday over young newcomer, 23-year-old Corey Jackson.
Just 102 votes separated the two candidates with Grice getting 595 votes to Jackson’s 493 votes. Grice got 54.69 percent of the vote while Jackson got 45.31 percent of the vote. The two emerged in the run-off out of a field of five candidates.
Grice, who currently serves as the chairman of the Dillon County Council, moves on to the General Election in November where he is unopposed.
