The Dillon Christian School Warriors 2017 SCISA 1-A State Champions Football Team was honored on Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the school’s gym with players, coaches, and honored guests receiving rings and cheerleaders receiving pendants.
Excitement filled the air not only for the cheerleaders and the football players but also for all those in attendance in the audience.
Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Christian Wolfe opened the ceremony welcoming everyone before Rev. Matt Adams had prayer and thanked God.
Everyone eagerly awaited the presentation of the rings and pendants. However, they were instructed not to open them until all had received one.
Wolfe remarked that the the team got off to a slow start in 2017 and possibly did not have all the pieces together until the third, fourth, or fifth game. However, after all of the pieces fit into the puzzle, great things began to happen throughout the season and ultimately the championship in the end.
The Dillon Christian School football seniors had a record of 42-8 for their careers making them the winningest Senior Class in the history of the school!
