These 12 people with Salkehatchie Harvest Camp, pictured above,
were among 89 people who are working all over Dillon County during the week of July 9-16 to help those in need.
Each person paid his or her own money to spend one week with the Salkehatchie Summer Youth Program, sponsored by the United Methodist Church — hammering, measuring, painting, cleaning, roofing, flooring, and learning other skills to improve the places where South Carolina people live.
During the month of July 2017, a total of 48 camps took place throughout South Carolina – manned by 3,370 youth and camp leaders. Dillon County is fortunate to have some of these very special young people here working on nine different houses…and making a big difference in the lives of others.
Main Street UMC would like to thank the Dillon community for helping us to make this summer camp a huge success.
