SELLERS – Harold David Snipes, 62, died July 8, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Pyerian Baptist Church with Pastor James Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Snipes was born in Mullins, SC on December 31, 1954, the son of the late Loyd Snipes and Vera Lee Byrd Snipes. Harold was employed as a supervisor for MarCo Water in Marion County and farmed for several years. Harold loved hunting, especially with his grandchildren. He also loved playing golf, singing and playing the guitar. He was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Holder Snipes of the home; daughter, Julie Elizabeth Snipes of Sellers, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Caleb Mishue, Hunter Chase Mishue and Cayden Rylee Mishue; brother, Willie Snipes (Nancy) of Dillon, SC; sister, Vonnie Lee Snipes of Dillon, SC; and sister-in-law, Vickie Brumble Snipes. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jerry Wayne Snipes, Robert Snipes and Nelson Snipes.
