Donald Foreman, Director of Camp Pine Hill of Bennettsville, S.C., and staff presided over the Sunday evening services at 6 p.m. on July 9 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Foreman opened the service with prayer and announcements.
Director Foreman explained that the staff made many sacrifices to help at camp during summertime instead of doing other things.
Twenty-four campers who have visited Camp Pine Hill this summer have made dedications of faith to the Lord.
Camp Pine Hill staff sang a song followed by Anna’s testimony.
A skit, “Get Out of Your Box,” was performed by staff members.
A young gentleman of Camp Pine Hill gave his testimony followed by another skit from another group of the staff.
Kelsey gave her testimony and also blessed the congregation with a solo, “Still,” by Hilliary Scott.
Donald Foreman’s sermon was from John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Foreman’s scripture continued from John 3, verses 22, 27, 29, and 30. Foreman expanded that we must allow Jesus to increase while we decrease. God first, others second, and us third.
After the service, everyone was invited for pizza in the Family Life Center.
Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon.
