First Sergeant Marion Ford of Dillon High School has been named the SCASRO Pee Dee Region SRO of the Year and also the Eric Bamberg Award For State SRO of the Year. Sgt. Ford was the first School Resource Officer (SRO) in Dillon County. On a typical day at DHS, Sgt. Ford wears many hats. He is a liaison for the school and a peace keeper. The safety of the school is his utmost priority and that is a value no price can be placed. Sgt. Ford goes above and beyond the expectations of a school resource officer. He also manages to focus on the primary role of a resource officer, safety, while making an impact on the lives of Dillon County families.
