The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is providing public notification of a proposed project priority list to replace 192 closed/load-restricted bridges located in 42 counties. The prioritization of the bridges is consistent with state law.
These bridges will be replaced over the course of the next 10 years and will improve the movement of goods and services in these affected counties. The replacement of load restricted bridges is one of Secretary Hall’s strategic objectives to improve South Carolina’s state highway system.
Affected bridges in Dillon County are:
2017-075—DILLON—S-192—SWEET SWAMP—4 MI N DILLON
2017-098—DILLON—S-42—TRIB TO LITTLE PEE DEE—1.9 MI NE FORK
2017-140—DILLON—S-423—BR OF REEDY CK—3MI SW DILLON
Pending consideration of public comments and based on available funding, the projects will be recommended for inclusion in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
