Services for Earline S. Moody will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Bermuda Baptist Church directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Moody, 85, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Marietta, NC, April 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Daniel Simmons and Irene Skipper Simmons. She was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Moody graduated from Winthrop College receiving her Secreterial Science Associates Degree. She was employed by Burlington Industries, Inc. for 27 years, Dillon Furniture Mfg. for 11 years, and also worked at Department of Navy at Pentagon for a few years. She was a member of the Yellow Jessamine Garden Club, and the McLeod Medical Center-Dillon Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher T. (Sharon) Moody, Glenn Aron (Debra) Moody, and Daniel Jay (Robin) Moody; daughter, Melissa M. Rouse; grandsons, Scott Moody, Matthew Moody, Kevin Moody, Ryan Moody, Autrey Moody, Aaron Moody, Daniel Moody, Logan Rouse, Austin Rouse, and Carson Rouse; great-grandchildren, Emerson Alice Moody, Madeline Elizabeth Moody, and Harper Lynn Moody, and the anticipated birth of two additional great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Arnold (Sandra R.) Simmons; sister, Fontella Lette Simmons; sister-in-law, Lucy Barker;
Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Rochelle F. Simmons, and Leon A. Moody; granddaughter, Martha L. Moody, and brother-in-law, Lydell Hayes.
