GROVETOWN, GA – Mr. John H. “Red” Price entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Red’s love for his family and friends was never doubted. Aside from family, he enjoyed spending his time at the motorcycle shop, gardening and most of all, golf; his love for the game lead to many leadership roles in the Augusta golf community and surrounding areas. Red also served as Head Professional at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson, Ga from July 1967 until September 1980. During his years as a Golf Professional, Red contributed to the success of Augusta University’s Athletic Programs and represented them in many NCAA Tournaments where they ranked high for seven consecutive years.
