LAKE VIEW– Bonnie Owens Cook Doyle, 64, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church in Gaddy’s Mill with Pastor Charles Tarte officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon, SC.
Mrs. Doyle was born June 24, 1952 in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Tommy “Papa Tom” Owens, Sr. and Margaret Owens Meekins.
She was employed four years with Marion County Planning and Building and Dillon County for twelve years as permit clerk and administrative secretary. Bonnie also served as Assistant Zoning Director.
Mrs. Doyle was forced to retire because of disability on September 2, 2011 due to illness due to ongoing heart complications.
She is survived by her three children, Bobbie Jo (Keith) Page, Betty Jo Smith and Ramona Hammonds; five grandchildren, Alexis and Karleigh Page, Taylor Smith, and Madison and Kaylee Hammonds; brothers, Wylie Owens and Gene Owens; and sister, Linda (Johnny) Montrose. She was predeceased by her brother, Tommy “Peabug” Owens, Jr.
