Richard Franklin Outlar, 69, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his residence after an illness.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Hemingway, SC, May 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Juanita Tunstall.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Outlar of Hamer; children, Lori (David) Campbell, Jenny Cook, and Sandy Outlar (Roger Meekins) all of Hamer; grandchildren, Kevin Outlar, Ronnie
Outlar, Shane Cook, Ricky Cook, A.J. Barrentine, Tyler Barrentine, and Kailyn Ivey; great-grandchildren, Jeffery Cayden Outlar, Kaylie Cook, Ansley Outlar, and Ryleigh Barrentine; brothers,
Buddy (Sandy) Outlar of Dillon and Bobby (Doris) Outlar of McColl; sisters, Christine (Johnny) Parker of Rock Hill, SC, Pam Jackson of Orangeburg, SC,
Ann Tyndall of Rock Hill, SC and Linda (Paul) Pedloy of Rock Hill, SC.
Mr. Outlar was preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Cook.
