The Carvers Bay Bears defeated the Latta Vikings 76-33 in varsity basketball action played in Latta on Tuesday, January 24.
The Bears never trailed in this game after controlling the opening tip-off. After the first period of play Carvers Bay led 18-10.  At halftime the Bears were ahead by 7 points, 28-21. After 3 periods of play, Carvers Bay was up 54-28.
Latta’s game seemed to be off from the onset of the game as was evidenced in the first period as Latta took 10 shots from the floor and converted only 3 plus connecting on only 3 of 9 free throws.
Latta will travel to Marion on Friday, January 27.
