Outgoing president, Len Power, of the Dillon Kiwanis Club had a bright light come on in his head a few weeks ago, and with some assistance from other members, the Club enjoyed its first such celebration recently at the B&C Barbecue and Steakhouse with pastors James Smith of East Dillon Baptist Church, Dickie Cullum of Dillon First Baptist Church, John Bumgardner of First Presbyterian Church, Dick Alderman of Little Rock Baptist Church and Greg Hyler of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and their wives in attendance. Also invited were Chris Alderman of Little Rock Baptist and Bishop Joe Grice of the Dillon Church of God, who could not attend due to church emergencies. President Power, who is now a resident of Lumberton, NC, and employed by the Dillon WIX Plant, recognizing how those pastors and their churches have helped in the programs of the Dillon Kiwanis Club, wanted to offer thanks to them for their continued support.
