Although the Latta Vikings varsity football team lost 42-13 to in-county rival the first half proved most interesting as Dillon led 14-7 at halftime scoring 7 of the 14 points with 30 seconds remaining in the first half.
The second half was controlled by Dillon.
Latta’s Dylan Brewer connected on 18 of 22 passes for 246 yards and 1 touchdown with a 82% pass completion.
The Vikings Deonta Stanley caught 7 passes for 117 yards while Kendall Moultrie caught 5 passes for 47 yards and 1 touchdown.  Devonta Porter had 6 passes for 100 yards.
Chandler Nolan and Davonta Porter each had 8 tackles while Trey Manning had 6 tackles in the loss. Mikey Dotson added 5 tackles, and Kendall Moultrie had 4 tackles and an interception for the Vikings.
The Latta Vikings will host East Clarendon on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
