An arrest has been made in an attempted murder that occurred on Thursday at the intersection of South 11th Avenue and West Hudson Street in Dillon, according to Captain David Lane of the City of Dillon Police Department.
Lane reported on Saturday morning that Jaquawn Lester has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Lane said Lester has ties to Dillon.
According to the incident report, officers were called to the area of West Hudson Street around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday in reference to gun shots. A victim had been shot in the leg and was in someone’s back yard on West Dargan Street near the park. The victim was taken to the hospital. It was also learned that the window of a residence had been shot.
