The City of Dillon Police Department is hoping someone in the public can help them identify this shoplifting suspect shown in the surveillance photo.
On January 12th, a shoplifter went into Dillon Meat Center about 9:15 am. According to a report by Sgt. Ray McPhatter, “While the clerk was stocking items, the suspect reached behind the counter and took an unknown amount of Newport cigarettes. He estimated 2 packs were taken. The clerk when she returned to the counter noticed several packs of Newports on the floor. She then contacted the complainant and he viewed the video and called 911. The video showed the suspect walk around the corner of the counter and look at the cigarettes. He then walks to the side of the counter where the cigarettes were located and reached inside the counter area and grabbed multiple packs of Newport then walked away from the counter.”
If you have any information as to the identity of this suspect, please call Detective Monroe Herring at 843-495-2386.
