On the morning of January 22nd of this year, a 42-year-old Mullins woman stopped by McDonald’s, located at 310 Highway 301 North in Dillon, and went inside to get her breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
As the woman walked out of the restaurant to go back to her car, according to a report by PFC Sherida McLeod of the City of Dillon Police Department, she noticed a black male standing outside. As she went to unlock the door of her white Dodge car, someone grabbed her from behind and began pulling on the strap of her pocketbook. She started screaming and yelling telling the suspect not to take her pocketbook. He would not stop and continued dragging her around the parking lot, McLeod’s report says.
The suspect was wearing a black coat and a burgundy toboggan.
The suspect fled on foot through the drive-thru with the woman’s green Thirty-One pocketbook.
EMS was called because the woman’s head and hands were hurting badly, and she wanted to go to the hospital.
Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
