The December meeting of the Dillon Historical School Foundation (DHSF) was held on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015, at the Dillon Chamber of Commerce Offices.
Chairman Gerald Berry called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., the winter meeting hour.
After an invocation by Vice-President, Terry Morris, and standing reports the group addressed unfinished business which included continued research for appropriate funding and grants, insurance, and non-profit postage rates. Chairman Berry also reported the Historical Marker has been delivered and will be stored, pending installation at the J. V. Martin site.
Reports under New business covered recent activities by members including meetings with legal representation, Dillon County Accommodations Tax Board, Dillon District Four Superintendent, District Four Maintenance Director, and preparations for public presentations and news outlets.
The members also set a date for preparing an informational mail out to interested persons.
The meeting adjourned with a reminder from Chairman Berry for the January Meeting to be held on January 5, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., at the Dillon Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, located on Main Street in Dillon.

All meetings are on “first Tuesdays” at the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce Conference Room located on Main Street, in Dillon.
