On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Sheriff Major Hulon and officers with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the United States Marshals Service in Operation Swamp Fox, a sex offender compliance check operation with the purpose of checking the residential status of registered sex offenders in Dillon County. During the operation 45 sex offenders were verified and compliant. Kelvin Washington, U.S. Marshal for South Carolina, stated, “The US Marshals are honored to partner with local and state law enforcement agencies in South Carolina to ensure the safety of its citizens by verifying sex offender’s whereabouts. We look forward to partnering again with different counties to continue these sex offender compliance operations.”
