THE LUNCH BUNCH Book Club at Dillon Middle School held its first meeting of the school year on October 29.  The 17 students who attended had read the featured book, QB 1 by Mike Lupica.  This book has been nominated for this year’s South Carolina Junior Book Award.  The students joined DMS Media Specialist Mrs. Marcia Bethea in the media center for lunch and a book discussion.  Lunch was provided by Mr. Travis Jackson, representing one of the school’s business partners.  Several door prizes (books) were given away at the end of the meeting, and as an added treat each student received an miniature football, courtesy of Coach Zach Hayes from Dillon High School.
