The Dillon County Council approved the use of funds for playground equipment for the Town of Lake View Park.
The funds will come from the Lake View infrastructure money in Fund 45 (Capital Sales Tax). The total amount is $31,306.42 – $24,451.42 for the equipment and $6,855 for the installation.
The proposal from BYO (Beyond Your Ordinary) Recreation calls for:
– The Green Machine which includes sliding activities (Hurricane Spiral Slide, Super Sonic Slide, and Curved Super Sonic Slide); climbing and balance activities (Strata Balance Beam, Spiral Step Climber, and Max Climb Summit); and sensory and dramatic play (gear panel and play wheel).
-Arch Swing Set with four seats
-A Silo Climber
It also will include wood playground mulch, a playground border with surfacing guide, and a wheelchair accessible half ramp.
The motion to use the funds for the equipment was made by Councilman Bobby Moody and seconded by Councilman Archie Scott.
The motion was approved.
