In July Harvest Hope delivered 600 meals in Dillon County to feed 1,315 families struggling with hunger.  To assist in distributing food to the increasing numbers of hungry people across Dillon County, Harvest Hope partners with seven local member non-profit agencies coordinating efforts to provide food to Dillon residents at risk of continued hunger.
“Our hunger relief partners in Dillon County travel to our facility to pick up food and then take back to local communities struggling with poverty and acute food shortage,” said Harvest Hope CEO Denise Holland.
“They strengthen families, many who cannot travel far from their own neighborhoods, coming to their food pantries each month by providing a reliable source of meals for their tables.”
Harvest Hope also works with Dillon senior facilities to provide hunger relief to seniors. In July Harvest Hope’s senior feeding programs delivered 440 pounds of food, enough to make 338 meals, directly to Dillon County senior facilities to feed senior citizens.
